2019 Bynum Bridge Fest Application Details


 

Festival Date: Saturday April 20th,10AM - 5 PM

The Bynum Bridge Fest is a celebration of our natural environment and all creation! Artists will be selling their artwork on the bridge overlooking the Haw Riverin Bynum, NC. Join us for food, and outdoor fun surrounded by nature and art.

Bridge Artist Early Bird booth fee: $30.00 per 10 x 10 space, apply by February 1st

Bridge Artist booth fee: $40.00 per 10 x 10 space, apply after February 1st, but before March 1st.

Late application fee (only if space available): $60.00 per 10 x 10 space, apply between March 1st and April 1st. 

be PhilARTHropy invites any and all artists to apply to the juried Bynum Bridge Fest as a Bynum Bridge Artist. Food Vendors and entertainment may also apply using the same form below and selecting the appropriate "Submission Type". 


To be considered as a featured Artist, please complete the form below and contact us to review your work or submit three images of personal artwork. Please note that this is a rain or shine, juried show and each artist must be on-site during the festival to staff his / her booth from 10AM to 5PM on April 20th to handle sales. The deadline for submission is March 1st and artists will be selected for participation by a group jurors and notified in a weekly rolling notification process beginning February 1st.

To participate as a Bynum Bridge Artist:

  • All work exhibited must be original artwork produced by the applying artist.

  • BridgeFest is a rain or shine event and each artist must be on-site during the festival to staff his / her booth from 10AM to 5PM to handle sales

  • Each artist will be provided a 10x10 booth space and is responsible for providing their own 10 x 10 tent, tables, tent weights and chairs if desired

  • Following review of all applications, details on parking, set-up time and booth space location will be provided after March 1st

  • Bridge Artists are strongly encouraged to secure their tent as the event is an outdoor venue and subject to weather. Tents must be secured without stakes as the bridge is an asphalt surface. Please bring enough weights to secure tents in the event of strong winds or storms.

  • If multiple artists desire to share a 10x10 space, both must be accepted into the show individually and both will be responsible for paying the full applicable booth fee. Please contact us directly after application submission to notify us of the intent to share a space.

If selected for participation, artist will be emailed additional event details and a PayPal invoice to confirm participation and agree to terms. Booth space is not guaranteed until invoice is paid. 

As with each of the preceding years, $10 from every entry fee will be donated to the selected non profit for this event. Please contact be PhilARThropy for more information on the non profit or charity selected this year.

be PhilARThropy worked with the Arbor Day Foundation as the non profit of choice for 2016 and 2017 to plant over 1300 trees, and in 2018 the Friends of the Lower Haw River to install birdhouse and wildlife viewing cameras in the Lower Haw Natural Area!

From our humble start in 2016, the festival has grown by more than 100% from 23 artists to 50 in 2018, and has included a student art exhibit, all while continuing to provide artist awards totaling over $700. Help us thrive again this year and continue to support the arts in the local community.
